Simple Refinement

The Simple Refinement mod is a great way to bridge the gap between iron/gold ores and diamond. This simple mod allows you to smelt iron and gold one more time to become “refined”.

What this means is that these will now retain a 50% increase in durability when used in tools. So while these won’t be as strong as diamond still is, they will help when you haven’t been able to find as much but iron and gold are a plenty.

This is especially helpful if you’re playing on a harder survival mode and it doesn’t give you too much of an edge over vanilla. This mod gives you just enough to help speed things along and it’ll give a slight advantage to all tools capable of being crafted with gold and iron.

Redstone Paste

The Redstone Paste Mod adds the ability to turn redstone dust into a paste that allows you to place it on walls and ceilings.

The Redstone Paste can be placed in a variety of directions that will allow you create a more compact redstone path. It breaks up the blocks into four sections. Each section can be removed after placed or you can click the center of the block to remove the paste from the whole block.

The Paste is easily created by combining traditional redstone with slime balls. You can also create sticky repeaters and sticky comparators to help maintain your redstone paths to your desired length.

Probably the best feature of this mod is the ability to place the paste underneath slabs. This allows you to create a much more compact system. You can even place a slab over the path on a wall.

You can also use the paste in conjunction with regular redstone if you directly connect the lines. However, you can use it independently running next to redstone and still maintain both connections without any issue.

Hopper Ducts Mod

The Hopper Ducts mod is a great add-on to the already great Hoppers in Minecraft. It adds a new item that acts as a transport system connecting hoppers and chests across long distances. The great part about this mod is you can send items upwards with the use of ducts.

A good example for one of its uses would be during mining expeditions. Instead of setting up a bunch of chests in your mine for excess cobble, why not set up a hopper and ducts to your home base’s chest(s)?

This way you can have a single hopper connected to multiple chests for easy transportation of materials.

What’s even better is you can now sort items to separate chests using the grated hopper. With it you can designate which items can pass through the hopper and all others will not. Connected over several chests you can get organized with your items and streamline sorting automatically.
