WoodStuff

The WoodStuff mod gives you a bit more customization when it comes to crafting wooden items. It gives you the ability to craft most wood items out of different types of wood found in the game. Normally that would create the same color item no matter what wood you used but now, with this mod, the item will retain the qualities of whatever wood you crafted it with.

This gives you a better opportunity to match your wooden items like crafting tables and chests to the rooms you house them in.

Even fences are configured for different types of wood. And even better is they will connect with each other despite being different colors.

What’s also great about this mod is that if you have additional mods with different types of wood added to the game, like Biomes O’Plenty or Forestry, then those blocks will retain their qualities as well!

Headcrumbs

The Headcrumbs mod adds heads from every mob available in the game. All the animals and mobs have a chance of dropping their heads upon death and you can add to your collection. Display your hunts on a wall or wear them out in the world.

Heads will drop randomly from each mob or you can access all of them from creative mode. Some heads may even show up in chests throughout the world.

Anything from villagers to chickens and even the Ender Dragon can be worn!

Gany’s Surface

Gany’s Surface mod adds a bunch of new features to Minecraft to make your experience that much more efficient. From the ability to cook an egg to making wooden armor, this mod gives you many items you’d think should have come with Minecraft in the first place.

Have you ever gotten over loaded with organic material like leaves, rotten flesh and saplings? If you have no immediate use for those you can take your extra material and put it in the Organic Matter Compressor. It will take all your unwanted organic material and when combined with a piece of coal, it will form a block of coal. It does need to be placed below level 15 though as it requires a ton of pressure to operate.

You can now craft two things at once with the Dual Work Table. This can really crank up your crafting efficiency. And if that wasn’t efficient enough, you can also carry it around with you with the Portable Dual Work Table.

There are two new items to aid in farming, the Planter and the Farm Manager. The Planter works to automatically plant the seeds in it’s inventory so long as tilled dirt is below it. The Farm Manager works the same as the planter except now it will plant what’s in it’s inventory in a 9×9 block radius. This is a great way to quickly harvest your crops without having to worry about replanting.

If you’re a power redstone user, you’ll love to know that now you can have colored redstone wire. This is the perfect solution to complicated setups to trace your wiring back to it’s source. There’re 16 colors to choose from and they won’t interact with each other.

And another really cool feature of this mod is Disguised Trap Doors. You can make them to look like regular wood planks so the victim will be all the more surprised. Set it up to be triggered by opening a chest and drop potential thieves into a pit of lava.

Gany’s End

The Gany’s End Mod gives you so much more from the End. Traditionally you don’t really see much when you travel to the End. You defeat the Ender Dragon, harvest some End stone and leave. With this Mod you’ll have many more items to make from End Stone as well as Ender Pearls.

When you mine in the end now you’ll be able to mine Endium Ingots from Raw Endium blocks. These can be used to make Endium tools, weapons and armor. So after defeating the Ender Dragon, stick around and find some Endium.

What’s incredibly useful about the Endium tools is that you can now shift+right click a chest with the tool and any blocks you mine with it will automatically transfer to that chest. This is a great way to continuously mine without having to go back to your storage when your inventory is full.

There’s now a useful tool to make with your dragon egg you collected. You can turn it into a Time Manipulator that when combined with either a Day or Night Infused gem will turn the current time to either day or night. And if you want your dragon egg back you can simply smelt the Manipulator to change it back.

With Endium Ingots you can now create Endium Armor. It doesn’t provide the best protection but it is incredibly handy when mining because it provides you with Night-vision.

And another neat item with this mod is the Ender tag. When you right click any block it will give you the coordinates of that block when you hover the tag in your inventory. And what makes that extra useful is when you use the Block or Entity Shifter any block you place on it will teleport to where you tagged when you add a redstone source to the shifter. This is great if you want to move a full chest to a different location without having to empty the contents and destroy it first.

Probably the most useful thing to do with this mod is carry around an ender bag. Once you’ve stocked an Ender Chest you can now carry the Ender Bag with you that will always have access to your chest wherever you are.

Gany’s Nether

The Nether is a wonderful addition to Minecraft, but people often complain that it is a bit limited. Gany’s Nether solves that problem by adding a bunch of new functionality to the Nether.

For example, if you ever tire of searching for glowstone, nether quartz, or soul sand, you can plant seeds and grow them anywhere.

It also adds in features like being able to dye some nether blocks, use a volcanic furnace for crafting, and more. You can use items like the sceptre of lightning to spice up your battle tactics.

New types of chest that you may encounter have strange loots inside…

The volcanic furnace lets you turn any junk you may have into lava. Pretty useful, especially when adventuring:

If you find a vanilla spawner, follow some simple steps (see the wiki) to obtain an extended spawner. You can control your spawners via redstone and adapt them to your needs. You can upgrade things like their range, which are very helpful when making farms.
